This year King County will be completing a Comprehensive Plan which will affect our future. Roads, housing developments, parks and trails, agricultural and forest lands as well as commercial/industrial developments (ie rural businesses, gravel mines, asphalt plants, etc.) are all to be studied for where allowed/permitted. SCAR has been working the early stages of this study, providing comments on existing county Comp Plan, County codes, concerns and recommendation testimony in conjunction with several other rural citizen groups.
